I used prompts like “I will send you a PDF and you will edit it to cater to a marketing position.” ; and ” you will send me another version (still using the same original resume I sent you) but this time I want you to cater it towards a finance position.” I also used “what should my “about me ” page sound like if I had a website? give me an example” in the earlier stages on my website. A change in noticed between the original resume and the AI created resumes was their appearance and their overall substance. The original had a template, color noticeable separation, the catered versions lacked all of this. I learned through this experience that the way things look has an effect on how the quality of text feels; and that the more direct and clear you are with your prompts the better the outcome.
